Email the Scholarship Office for more scholarship information.

Utah Tech University is fortunate to have a number of scholarship programs available to students. Academic Freshman and Transfer students do not require an application. All other scholarships do require separate applications through Scholarship Universe. Utah Tech and affiliate scholarships and waivers can be combined up to $1000 per semester, as long as the combination is not in all waivers. To be considered for Freshman scholarships, a student must be fully admitted by March 1st. To be considered for Transfer scholarships, a student must be fully admitted by July 1st.

Some of the Utah Tech scholarships currently available include academic, student leadership, sterling scholars, alumni leadership, talent-based scholarships (athletic, fine arts), departmental, community /local, and program-based.

To continue receiving a Utah Tech academic scholarship after the first academic year, a student must enroll in and pass a minimum number of credits and maintain a minimum college GPA.  Students who fail to meet their academic scholarship requirements will lose their scholarship. Students who have lost their scholarship can contact the Scholarship Office to get information about how to earn their scholarship back or appeal the lost of their scholarship. Utah Tech policy requires a minimum GPA of 2.0 and full-time enrollment (12 credit hours per semester) for other Utah Tech scholarships.  Departments may require higher standards as outlined in individual award notifications.

  3. Acceptable Test Scores: Placement tests other than the ACT or SAT are not accepted. Students are encouraged to take the ACT through their high school or on one of six national testing days.
  4. Current Students Deadline is May 1st. To be considered for a Current Student Scholarship, the student must have completed 30 credit hours total with a minimum of 15 credit hours completed at Utah Tech and be admitted into an eligible 1st Bachelors'.
