Utah Tech University offers a vibrant and active Campus Recreation program for all students. The program features six main areas: Fitness & Wellness, Intramural Sports, Club Sports, Outdoor Recreation, the Climbing Wall, and Aquatics, each providing unique opportunities for students to get involved and stay active on campus. Students can also enjoy outdoor basketball courts, sand volleyball courts, open field space, and tennis courts for casual use. Additionally, Campus Recreation offers a variety of student employment opportunities.

Fitness Center

The Fitness & Wellness program is designed specifically for Utah Tech students and features state‑of‑the‑art strength equipment, a full range of cardiovascular machines, and free weights. Students can improve their cardiovascular fitness, strength, and flexibility while enjoying a welcoming and supportive environment. Additional opportunities include group fitness classes and personal training sessions for those seeking more personalized instruction.

Intramural Sports

Intramural Sports offers a wide variety of individual and team activities for all current Utah Tech students. With multiple skill levels available, the program welcomes everyone, from beginners learning a new sport to experienced athletes looking to stay active and competitive. Club Sports

Utah Tech has a vibrant and active Club Sports community that competes at both regional and national levels. Club Sports are student‑run organizations that participate in competitive leagues requiring physical skill and adherence to established rules. These teams are organized and led by students, and they regularly compete against other colleges and universities. Club Sports may participate in league play, tournaments, and regional or national competitions, providing students with a structured yet student‑driven competitive experience.

Outdoor Recreation

Outdoor Adventure (OA) offers a variety of activities, including hiking, rock climbing, and mountain biking. Each semester, OA hosts several guided outdoor trips that allow students to explore Southern Utah safely and enjoyably. Aquatics

The Utah Tech University Pool, located in the HPC, is an Olympic‑size facility that offers a wide range of personalized aquatic recreation options, including lap swimming, open swim, water aerobics, intramurals, triathlon training, and access to a hot tub. A variety of instructional clinics are also available, including Beginning through Intermediate Swim Instruction, Stroke Development and Refinement, Water Aerobics, Paddleboard Aerobics, and more.
