Utah Tech University offers a variety of on‑campus housing options designed to support the needs of both single students and students with families. To be eligible for Single Student Housing, students must be enrolled in at least nine (9) credit hours, and for Family Student Housing, students must be enrolled in twelve (12) credit hours. Housing applications may be submitted online (note: following the application link will take you outside the University Catalog).

Single Student Housing offers a range of apartment and dormitory‑style living options, conveniently located near most academic buildings and campus amenities. These communities feature:

  • Live‑in student and professional staff who serve as mentors, referral resources for campus services, and mediators in resolving roommate or community concerns.
  • University Police patrols to help maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Regular social and educational programming designed to promote community building, personal development, and academic success.
  • A variety of amenities and community spaces, including game rooms, lounges, study rooms, outdoor BBQ grills, sports courts, and close access to an on‑campus grocery store—providing students with inviting spaces to relax, connect, and engage with campus life.

The Housing and Resident Life department is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging residential experience that supports student learning and well‑being.

Family Student Housing is available to:

  • Married couples (with or without children)
  • Single parents with children

Family Student Housing offers a family‑friendly living environment with University Police monitoring the community and a live‑in Resident Manager who supports residents, assists with facility needs, and fosters a positive neighborhood atmosphere. Family Student Housing provides a safe, clean, and supportive setting for students balancing academics and family life.
