Individualized Studies, BAP


Program Description

 The Utah Tech Bachelor of Applied Practice in Individualized Studies is an interdisciplinary degree program in which students customize and title their program of study in accordance with their post-graduate goals and in collaboration with supportive and enthusiastic faculty and staff mentors. This degree program aims to serve students with the maturity and life experience to participate in the design of their own program, who have specific career goals that do not require a traditional bachelor's degree, and who want to enter the job market quickly.

Utah Tech General Education Requirements

All Utah Tech General Education requirements must be fulfilled. A previously earned degree may fulfill those requirements, but courses must be equivalent to Utah Tech's minimum General Education standards in American Institutions, English, and Mathematics.

Graduation Requirement 

  1.  Complete a minimum of 90 college-level credits (1000 and above).
  2. Complete at least 40 upper-division credits (3000 and above).
  3. Complete at least 30 upper-division credits at Utah Tech for institutional residency.
  4. Cumulative GPA 2.0 or higher.
  5. Grade C or higher in each Individualized Studies requirement.
