Hotel and Resort Operations, AS


Program Description

Students will engage in learning multiple facets of the Hospitality Management Industry including team building, guest experiences, technology applications, critical and analytical thinking, ethics, and leadership. Coursework that emphasizes the operational side of the hospitality business environment ensures students will graduate with skills and knowledge for entry level jobs in the hospitality industry. Students will have the opportunity for practical experience in the hospitality field through earning various internship and COOP credits with placements with our partners in local hotel and resort locations as they proceed through the program. Graduates of this program are qualified for entry level jobs in the hospitality industry, or they can continue on toward our BS in Hotel and Resort Management.

Graduation Requirements

  1. Complete a minimum of 60 college-level credits (1000 and above)
  2. Complete at least 20 semester hours of credits at Utah Tech for institutional residency.
  3. Cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher.
  4. All Core Discipline Required Courses must be completed with a C- or higher.
