Hotel and Resort Operations, AAS
Program Description
This degree is designed as a degree completion program for Dixie Tech students who have completed the Culinary Arts program and wish to continue their education to the associate level. Students will engage in learning multiple facets of the Hospitality Management Industry including team building, guest experiences, technology applications, critical and analytical thinking, ethics, and leadership. Coursework that emphasizes the operational side of the hospitality business environment ensures students will graduate with skills and knowledge for entry level jobs in the hospitality industry. Students will have the opportunity for practical experience in the hospitality field through earning various internship/COOP credits with placements with our partners in local hotel and resort locations as they proceed through the program. Graduates of this program are qualified for entry level jobs in the hospitality industry or they can continue on toward our BS in Hotel and Resort Management after completing the full UT General Education requirements.

Graduation Requirements
- Complete a minimum of 63 college-level credits (1000 and above)
- Complete at least 20 semester hours of credits at Utah Tech for institutional residency.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher.
- All Core Discipline Required Courses must be completed with a C- or higher.
