A placement exam is administered during the first week of classes each semester. Students enroll in group piano courses (MUSC 1150, 1160, 2150, and 2160) to fulfill the requirements. Once the proficiency is passed off students are not required to enroll in group piano. Enrolling in private lessons is not an acceptable solution to achieving proficiency.
